In a recent interview with The Mirror, the current I'm A Celebrity contestant disclosed that he is concerned he will not be able to recall vivid memories of his days with the Happy Mondays.
"I've been asked to write my autobiography, but I’ve not been interested," he said.
He added: "I'll do it in another 20 years' time. The only problem was I never kept a diary, so I'm going to have to use all the remaining brain cells to remember the Mondays' days."
Ryder further remarked that in recent years he's used exercise to help him kick his much-publicised drug habit.
The singer explained: "I used to wake up and smoke 20 cigarettes before getting high on drugs. Now my two youngest daughters – Lulu's only a year and a half – get me up at 6am and make me take them swimming.
"I've gone from the 20-tabs-a-day man to the 20-lengths-a-day man. Seriously, I do 20 lengths a day. I get a few funny looks in the pool from people who think, 'Isn't that that Happy Mondays geezer? What’s he doing here?'"
Yesterday, Ryder took part in the Celebrity Cyclone trial as part of his bid to win the tenth series of I'm A Celebrity.
