Tana Ramsay wins 'Celeb Mum Of The Year'

Dancing On Ice star Tana Ramsay has been awarded the 2010 Tesco 'Celebrity Mum Of The Year' award.

The 35-year-old, who is married to celebrity chef Gordon, has four children aged between 11 and 8.

Speaking about her parenting skills at the ceremony in London, Tana told PA: "It's a big learning curve. It's a journey. It's important to stay close to them, but that gets tricky when they get older and they get secretive and into their teenage years... but just being there, being their friend.

"You talk to them and listen to them. As they get older that's the thing I'm learning all the time is just listening. Some problems you might not think are a big deal are massive for them."

She added: "As they get older it's more important for them to spend more time with Gordon, more time with me, and with us together."

Ramsay was joined at the event by fellow celebrity mums Natasha Kaplinsky, Linda Lusardi and soap stars Patsy Palmer, Jo Joyner and Jessie Wallace.
