Richard and Judy: 'Chloe has lost wild child tag'

Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan have claimed that their daughter Chloe "lost her wild child tag" by appearing on Dancing on Ice.

The 23-year-old won a legion of new fans with her skating ability on the ITV1 series earlier this year. It was later revealed that Chloe, who eventually finished third, was also dating show winner Sam Attwater.

"Going on Dancing on Ice was the best thing Chloe could ever have done," Richard told The Mirror. "Not only has she become an ­amazing skater, she has lost her wild child tag.

"She's a lovable and bright girl, but she got into the headlines for ­drink-driving and ­smoking a bong. ­­We took both of these very seriously. ­Chloe could've killed ­herself or someone else."

He continued: "Chloe is about as far from ­Peaches Geldof as the Pope, and we've seen the real her on Dancing on Ice. I had 10,000 tweets when she was on air. They all said how they were prepared for Chloe to be a spoiled brat but they remarked about how sweet she was."

Asked about her her relationship with Attwater, a hesitant Finnigan responded: "I don't know much about it, and it's not up to us to talk about Chloe's love life."

Her husband concluded: "We saw Sam a lot during the ­competition and he's a nice guy."
