The Hollyoaks actress claimed that Longchambon - who she began dating after they met on Dancing on Ice's 2010 series - was "just as loving as always" with her even after he had discussed his feelings for Ghadie.

"I really hope it works out. She seems like a nice girl," Metcalfe told Now. "I have good friends who've done bad things and it doesn't change the fact that they're still nice people.
"If it was me I wouldn't want to start a relationship with someone who was still in love with his partner."

Metcalfe added that she doesn't blame Ghadie for the breakdown of her relationship, but rather herself, for boosting Longchambon's ego by painting him as the "perfect boyfriend".
"[My parents] put him on a pedestal and so did I," she admitted. "In a lot of ways I think I gave him the confidence to do what he's done and I feel really let down by that.
"I [have] nothing to say to [Samia]... I don't judge her. People are capable of doing anything."

Recalling the moment Longchambon admitted to being in love with Ghadie in a Christmas Day phone call, Metcalfe commented: "I felt completely shocked. I asked him if there was any chance of working it out and he said, 'No'.
"I know I'm a good person - I'm loyal, I'm honest and if someone doesn't want that, they can just jog off."
Ghadie has continued to deny that she is dating Longchambon, saying: "I know myself that I have done nothing wrong."
