Fountain 'too shy' to approach women

Dancing On Ice star Chris Fountain has revealed that he is shy around the opposite sex.

The actor - who plays Justin Burton in Hollyoaks - said he prefers women to make the first move because he is too scared to approach them himself.

He told Look: "I'm quite shy when it comes to girls - I wish they would ask me out.

"I'm not really a chat-up line sort of person. I just try to make a lot of eye contact. Sometimes I'll make the move, but it doesn't come naturally to me."

However, he added that he had no problem attracting women, saying: "I'm not seeing anyone at the minute. I don't mind getting chatted up now and again. Some girls are quite forward, others send their mates over - you know, 'My mate fancies you.' And others sneakily take pictures without asking. If you ask, I'll just come and stand with you!"

Former Big Brother contestant Sam Heuston recently claimed that she slept with Fountain after propositioning him at an awards bash.

The 20-year-old is currently the favourite to win the ITV1 ice-skating contest.
