Burke 'living in fear' of ex-boyfriend

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke is "living in fear" following an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, according to a report.

The 20-year-old singer was horrified when her former partner Russell Brooks arrived at her North London flat in the early hours of Wednesday morning, the News Of The World claims. Former Celebrity Big Brother star Ben Adams was said to be with her at the time of the alleged incident.

"Alex split up with Russell in September, just before things heated up with The X Factor," a source told the newspaper. "He certainly was not over her at the time and still isn't now. Hours before the incident, Alex had been talking to Russell on the phone. When she told him she'd been hanging out with Ben, he lost it."

A neighbour revealed: "There was loads of thumping and yelling. He was saying things like, 'what the hell are you doing in there, Ben?' and 'I'm going to smash your f**king car'. Ben's car was parked outside the building."

Brooks, who reportedly "stormed past" security at the £500,000 building, is believed to have left before police arrived. Meanwhile, Burke is now said to be anxious about her future safety.

The insider explained: "Alex is still a little shaken up that he could have got into her flat so easily. This is the last thing she needs right now."

Burke recently signed a £3 million US record deal.
