According to The Sun, the X Factor champion met Jagher in Los Angeles three months ago and the pair have been romancing ever since.
"Alex has found her man. They are really keen on each other but are trying to take things slowly because they have to get their careers flying first," said an insider.
Jagher lists his influences as aliens, President Obama, Michael Jackson, Daft Punk and The Beatles. On his MySpace page, he describes his music as an "infusion of various cultures throughout the Galaxy".
Burke is currently in LA working on her debut album. She is rumoured to be collaborating with producers including Pharrell Williams, Stargate, Timbaland, Red One and Jay-Z.
