Burke: 'I gave fans heart in interview'

Alexandra Burke has said that she gave readers her heart in a magazine interview published this week.

The X Factor winner discussed her relationship with her mother and her brother's reported painkiller overdose for the feature.

Burke wrote on her Twitter page: "I'm on the cover of Marie Claire magazine!

"Very honest interview. I've given you guys my heart in that. I had a drink or two so I kept it real!"

Burke told the magazine that she had been attacked by locals since her success on the show.

She said: "Every time I come out it's abusive names. They start singing 'Hallelujah' and shouting 'Alexandra the Bitch'. It upsets me."

Of her brother Aaron, she added: "He wanted to die. He's going off the rails. He needs a father figure."
