Quigg, who finished third in the 2008 TV talent show behind Alexandra Burke and JLS, said that he had not spoken to Vickers since she landed a number one with her debut album earlier this month.
The reality TV duo were rumoured to be dating during their stint on the ITV1 series.
"I haven't spoken to Diana in ages," he told the Daily Star. "I just concentrated on coming back and doing my own stuff. I haven't seen any of them in a while. I broke my phone and lost all their numbers."
The 17-year-old singer, whose self-titled debut LP peaked at number 14 last year, is currently studying for his GSCEs in Dungiven, Northern Ireland.
"It's just exams, exams, exams, exams at the minute - it's a hard time definitely," he said. "I've been studying flat out every day. I can't wait to get them done."
Speaking about a possible return to pop music, he added: "Hopefully some gigs will come in and I will get the opportunity to get out there again. I'll have to start from scratch and all I can do is hope for the best and see how it goes."
