The former X Factor star admitted that the pair get on well, but added that their management teams want them to remain single and focus on their careers.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "Diana's a stunning girl and very funny but it's unfortunate that I'm not really allowed to talk to her that much.
"We get on really well but management want to keep us apart - they don’t really like us talking too much because we have our own promotions to do."
The singer also revealed that he is still in touch with Robbie Williams, who he performed a duet with during the X Factor final last year: "Robbie is a different person now he's married," he said. "He's always on cloud nine. He told me to find the right girl and get married because it's the best feeling in the world. He's completely head over heels in love.
"Robbie keeps inviting me to go visit him in LA but I haven't had time. I'm hoping they let me shoot the second video in LA so I can call round to his Hollywood mansion for tea. I want to see all his dogs as well. Apparently he has loads running around everywhere. I've always loved dogs, so much so I've pulled a few in the past."
