Olly Murs: 'Cheryl Cole was so in love with Ashley Cole'

Olly Murs has said that he believes Cheryl Cole was deeply in love with her ex-husband Ashley Cole.

The X Factor runner-up, who will host this year's Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack, said that he doesn't think relationships work the second time round.

Murs told Now: "Love is blind, isn't it? All I know is that she was very much in love with him and he was with her.

"The one thing I'd say is it's about trust. If it doesn't work the first time, I find it doesn't work the second time either."

The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer also admitted that he is disappointed Cheryl won't be on the X Factor's judging panel this series.

"Personally, I didn't want her to go. I was disappointed when she left," the 27-year-old said.

"You never know, she may come back to help Tulisa Contostavlos at the judges' houses stage - although I think Cheryl's happy to have a little break.

"She'll bounce back with new solo material and then she'll end up marrying me!"
