Tulisa Contostavlos's favourite 'X Factor' contestant outed as underwear model

The mother-of-four who reduced Tulisa Contostavlos to tears on The X Factor has been revealed as an underwear model.

Michelle Barrett, who reminded judge Contostavlos of her mother when she performed 'All the Man I Need' by Whitney Houston, has revealed that she took part in Ultimo's 'Real Woman' campaign earlier this year and posed for billboards in just a bra and knickers.

Barrett told the Daily Mail: "Posing in just your pants is very full-on. But on the day the shoot was very prof­essional and the photo­graphers put me at ease really ­quickly."

She said that she was nervous about the photos and had second thoughts at the last minute but was thrilled with the final result.

Barrett also said that she didn't actually know who Contostavlos was when she cried at her performance on The X Factor, saying: "I must admit, I didn't know her as well as I know the other three."

The judges all said that they loved the "raspy" quality of Barrett's singing voice during her audition, with Gary Barlow adding: "Michelle, I can't believe you've hidden that voice away while you've had four lovely children."

The X Factor airs on Saturdays at 8pm on ITV1.
