'X Factor' Misha B to star in 'The Bodyguard' on West End?

X Factor contestant Misha B has reportedly been approached to star in a West End production of The Bodyguard.
The 19-year-old singer, who was eliminated in the show's semi-final last Sunday (December 4), is set to take on the role made famous by Whitney Houston in a stage adaptation of the 1992 movie.
"Lots of people have been considered from Alexandra Burke to Leona Lewis, but Misha is top of the list," a source revealed. "Her not making The X Factor final was a blessing in disguise for those involved with the show."

It has also been claimed that Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow is in the running to take on Kevin Costner's role, though producers are still seeking "a big established star name" for the male lead.
Misha B performed Houston's 'I Have Nothing' from The Bodyguard on The X Factor's 'Movie Week' in late November.
Warner Bros confirmed plans to remake The Bodyguard back in May.
Rihanna, the early favourite to inherit Houston's role, declared shortly after that she would "absolutely not" appear in the film.
