Simon Cowell 'wanted Dannii Minogue back on X Factor'

By
Simon Cowell reportedly demanded Dannii Minogue to return to The X Factor this year.

The entrepreneur is said to have urged TV producers to spend millions to obtain her signature, according to new material in Tom Bower's paperback edition of Cowell biography Sweet Revenge.

Cowell had a meeting with ITV director of television Peter Fincham in order to get her back on the show, reports The Sun.

"Bring her back to X Factor... everyone will be looking at her tits," Cowell is quoted as saying.

ITV allegedly offered up to £2 million to Minogue for a new contract. However, the negotiations fell through after she reportedly sought at least £5 million.

The new version of Tom Bower's book - which originally revealed Cowell's secret relationship with Minogue - also states how some stars have fallen out with Cowell in recent years.

Cowell reportedly described 2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle as "obnoxious" after he criticised record label Syco.

Yesterday, it was revealed in the serialisation of the book's new edition that Cowell suffered a breakdown earlier this summer.
