The X Factor judge was at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards and reacted to Gary Barlow's comments on her breath on the show last week.
She admitted to DS: "The truth is, Gary had nothing to say. And that was his comeback. He knows it's something I'm paranoid about as a smoker, so that's why he said it. I'm over it now, though."
The singer also told us about her friend and PA Gareth Varey, who broke his ankle the previous night after helping her home after partying at Mahiki.

She said: "It's not too good. It's all casted up and he's got a broken ankle, but he's still here tonight with his crutches. What a trouper. I've been wheeling him around."
Of the X Factor judges being accused of tactical voting to get rid of their strongest competition, she said: "Not as far as I know. Maybe!"
