The event, which took place at Urban Calm, welcomed staff from the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for spa treatments and pampering. All the nurses who were invited will be working on Christmas Day.

"The Urban Calm Nurses Night is a great way to reward and recognise the city's nurses who have worked hard all year caring for the patients at The Royal Liverpool Hospital, especially over the Christmas period."
Urban Calm's director Nicola Byrne said that the nurses were "so selfless" in agreeing to work on Christmas Day when they could be spending time with their families, and described Maloney's visit as "the icing on the cake".
"We are thrilled to have brought Christmas early for them," she added.
Maloney was recently confirmed to be joining a number of X Factor finalists on the live tour, following speculation that he would not be invited to take part after reportedly upsetting the show's producers and a falling-out with fellow hopeful Carolynne Poole.
