'Strictly' judge wants gastric band

Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has revealed that she has piled on the pounds and wants a gastric band.

The 64-year-old said her weight is always in the back of her mind.

"I want to be slim, I want to be gorgeous. I've put on a stone and a half since the last series."

"It's on my tummy. I want a gastric band, but I don't like needles or knives, so what's a woman to do?" she told The Sun.

Phillips ruled out Botox and said that today's obsession with looking younger and younger terrifies her. "We’re in a world of plasticity," she added.
