Kate Thornton 'booed off in Newcastle'

Kate Thornton was reportedly booed off stage in Newcastle after forgetting what city she was in.

The former X Factor host, 34, was presenting the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour when the mix-up occurred.

According to the Daily Star, she had just announced Rachel Stevens as the tour show's winner when she told the North-East crowd: "Come on Liverpool!", which was greeted by a chorus of jeers.

"That was the worst thing I could have said," said Thornton. "Everyone in Newcastle probably hates me now!"
