Knoxville praises sober Steve-O

Johnny Knoxville has praised his Jackass co-star Steve-O for overcoming his alcohol problem.

The Dukes Of Hazard actor hired six burly men to persuade his friend to go into rehab, eventually getting him a place in celebrity counsellor Dr. Drew Pinsky's LA clinic.

Knoxville, who recently apologised for attempting to take a fake grenade on a flight, told WENN: "You know if I'm coming to get you to tell you you have a drinking problem, you have a problem... He was at rock bottom.

"I said, 'If he doesn't want to go [to rehab], if he tries to run, knock him out'."

He added that he is "so proud" of the Dancing With The Stars contestant, who he believes will "kick butt" on the show.
