Cassidy "repulsed" at love life rumours

Natalie Cassidy has revealed her disgust with speculation that there was romance budding between herself and Wendy Richard's husband John Burns.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the rumours were sparked when the former EastEnders actress moved in with Richard’s widower following her co-star's death.

Cassidy told the newspaper: "I felt repulsed. I absolutely couldn't believe people in this world could think something like that.

"I was devastated when Wendy died and we helped each other through it. John is like a second dad, a brother, a mate. And he will be there cheering me on on Strictly."

She added that she wanted to win Strictly Come Dancing for Richard as well as her mother who has also passed away.

She said: "I feel Mum and Wendy will be looking down on me. They'll be having a good old natter saying, 'I hope she doesn’t get it wrong'. And I'll be dancing for them both."
