The Strictly Come Dancing judge told the Daily Mail that he does not see any point in worrying about death.
Asked if he would like to be immortal, Horwood replied: "I can't think of anything worse. I like the finality and rejuvenation of death. I look at death positively. It is the beginning of something wonderful."
The 44-year-old choreographer also admitted that he is convinced there is a "male menopause".
He commented: "Our metabolism slows down, we get more irritable and your testosterone levels are all over the place. How else can you explain older guys suddenly buying Porsches and dumping their wives for newer models?
"But my apparent irritability on Strictly is just my somewhat frank personality."
Horwood recently defended his decision to compare Strictly contestant Jo Wood to a "bush kangaroo" live on air.
