The dancer was at a bowling alley in Croydon, South London, when a woman "leapt across lanes" to hit Jordan, before laughing about it with her children and friends.
The culprit fled the scene following the unprovoked attack, shortly before police arrived at the location, The Sun reports.
A source told the paper: "Ola could not believe it. This woman came flying at her and smashed her really hard.
"She was laughing and so were her friends. It was even more shocking as she was there with her kids. Ola's the nicest person you could wish to meet. She was left a total mess."
A spokeswoman for Jordan, who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 with Chris Hollins, said: "She is incredibly shocked."
Police are still hunting the attacker. A companion, who was arrested for using threatening words and behaviour, was later released with a caution.
