Kimberley Walsh wants West End return after 'Strictly' stint

Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she would like to return to the West End.

The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up said that appearing in the BBC show has reignited her love for live stage performances.

"I've always loved musical theatre but Shrek unleashed the passion in me again," she told The Sun.

"I do really feel like a lot of the things I've learned on Strictly Come Dancing will come in handy.

"I would definitely consider being in the West End more in the future."

Walsh releases her theatre songs album Centre Stage in February. Talking about the LP, she added: "It comprises songs from the musicals reworked and brought into this century.

"It's turned out really well and I feel really inspired and hopefully it'll be a success.

"I felt like I'd done so much work with my voice as well - so I want to be able to showcase it."
