Kelly Brook attends father's funeral

Strictly Come Dancing star Kelly Brook attended her father's funeral in her hometown of Kent today.

The model's dad Kenneth passed away last week at his home in Rochester after a long battle with cancer, aged 57.

Brook had originally vowed to continue competing on the BBC1 dance contest in memory of her father, but she found it too difficult to continue and quit last Friday.

Brook attended the hour-long ceremony at Medway Crematorium in Chatham, Kent this morning, then left to attend a private reception.

The actress and her dance partner Brendan Cole were one of the favourites to win the competition before she left the programme.
