Goodman took charge of a UK side, which included Michael Sheen, Sean Maguire and Julian Sands, while Tonioli managed a "rest of the world" team.
The match ended 5-3 in favour of the Brit side, with Goodman joking he was willing to "go over and bung the linesman a few quid" to secure the victory.
Tonioli admitted he didn't know much about football, saying: "We watch our lovely David [Beckham] don't we? I'm not somebody who actually goes to games, I watch the big events but this is to support a good cause."
Actor Michael Sheen added that playing football was a lot more physically demanding than acting.
"At one point I was looking at the ball and trying to run, and the top half of my body was really trying to go for it but my legs just wouldn't do it and I fell over," Sheen said.
The match was in support of BritWeek, an event organised by Nigel Lythgoe to celebrate British influence on American culture.
