The talent show judge and journalist joked that he is not sure which part of Wogan's comments was the more upsetting.
Wogan had told the Radio Times: "I watch Britain's Got Talent and I've come to appreciate Piers Morgan, who, in the grand tradition of Michael Winner, makes a virtue out of being a nasty piece of work."
Morgan told the Daily Mail: "I've always loved Terry Wogan. He just seems to rise effortlessly above the fray of life's numerous nonsenses, with that cheeky Irish grin, permanently raised eyebrow, and a self-deprecating quip.
"So what to make then of his comments to Radio Times today? I'm not sure what's more distressing - the Winner analogy or the fact that Terry thinks I'm being nasty on BGT, when that is in fact supposed to be my brand-saving Mr Nice Guy side."
