Amanda Holden: 'I want casting revenge'

Rex Features

Amanda Holden has said that she will use her job as a judge on TV's Got Talent: Edinburgh Special to get revenge on TV executives who slighted her in the past.

The Britain's Got Talent star will be on the panel at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, which runs from August 28 to 30.

Holden told thelondonpaper: "We'll be judging people from all parts of the TV industry. I'll just be finding out if they're casting directors.

"'Have you ever not given me a job? Right, you're so not going through to the next round!' Personally, I'll be looking to keep my bosses happy and get my revenge on anyone who didn't employ me!"

When asked how many auditions she has failed in her career, she added: "Ooh, gosh - loads in telly. Not hundreds, but enough to wound.

"I remember writing to casting directors from drama school asking them to come and see me in a play and getting letters saying they were too busy. I'll get those letters out just before they try and deliver their best ever tap dance or something."
