Cowell 'increases Susan Boyle's security'

Simon Cowell has reportedly increased the security around Susan Boyle due to fears about a fan who has become "obsessed" with the Britain's Got Talent star.

Boyle is believed to have been bombarded by letters from an unnamed American woman who has also showed up at her home in Scotland.

"Simon is not taking any chances," a source told The Sun. "This woman is constantly following Susan around the world. It is a middle-aged American woman who has become obsessed with her.

"At first, people thought it was no more than a nuisance. But after what happened to Leona [Lewis, who was punched at a recent book signing], everyone is taking extra precautions."
