The cruise ship entertainer, who appeared on the opening episode of the ITV1 talent show on Saturday, said that he wants to team up with the former Eurovision performer on his boat the Fishy Rose.
Sonia Evans scored hits with tracks including 'Better The Devil You Know', 'Only Fools' and 'Listen To Your Heart' during the '80s and early '90s. Her last charting single 'Wake Up Everybody' reached 155 in 1995.
Cruise claimed that Sonia is an easier target than his hero Jane McDonald, who he said is "too big a star" for his ship.
"Do you know the other person I have always dreamed of working with? Sonia. Do you remember her from the '80s?" he told DS.
"'You Will Never Stop Me From Loving You' and all of that! I'd love to get her on board. Jane as well, but that's obviously never going to happen, because she is too big a star now."
He added: "Jane is my biggest idol ever. She is like a God to me. If I was to meet her, I would probably pass out to be honest with you. It would be my dream come true, beyond belief."
Britain's Got Talent continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
