Britain's Got Talent stars Diversity have revealed that they would like to open their own streetdance academies.

The dance troupe, who triumphed in the 2009 series of Got Talent, said that want to create more opportunities for young performers.

"We'd like to do academies, just to give people the same opportunities as we've had to dance," Terry Smith told RTE Ten. "In some areas there's not a lot of streetdance schools and we get a lot of emails from people saying, 'Aw, I want to do streetdance, where can I go? There's nowhere open in my area'.

"So I mean we'd like to try to maybe open some schools, to get people more involved."

The group also admitted that they have ambitions to take their act around the world. "I'd like to get out to the States and also China and places like that because they are places where dance is huge," said Ian McNaughton.

"It's massive and it's been like that for a long time. So it would be good to see how we weigh up over there."
