Kate Walsh: 'I'm not engaged to Phillip'

Kate Walsh has insisted that she is not ready to marry her former Apprentice co-star Phillip Taylor.

The pair, who found love on the most recent series of the BBC business show, were rumoured to be planning a wedding earlier this year.

However, Walsh told The Mirror: "Me and Phil aren't engaged. People keep asking us if we are because this summer we were photographed looking at rings.

"What actually happened was that I was shopping with Phil for a nice watch to give him for his 30th, and while I was there I couldn't resist trying on a few bits of jewellery."

She added: "I've never been the kind of girl to dream about getting married. I even tried a wedding dress on when I was helping a friend buy one and it just didn't look right. Maybe one day, though. Watch this space."

Walsh currently presents magazine show Live From Studio Five with Ian Wright and Melinda Messenger.
