The Pussycat Dolls star and Got To Dance judge told The Guardian that it is vital for young dancers to experiment.
Wyatt said: "You have to be brave as a dancer, to try new things and tricks and be flexible - you have to be prepared to fall on your bottom or your head.
"It's happened to me a lot and it happens to dancers all through their careers. I'm lucky in that I have a background in gymnastics, which helps, but showbusiness is live and anything can happen."
She added: "Younger performers shouldn't worry about it. You have to shrug off mistakes you make and get on with it - everyone expects dancers to fall over.
"I fell over a lot learning what became my signature dance move - the standing leg-split... You just have to get back up and brush it off in this business - onwards and upwards."
