The actor, who plays Emmett Cullen in the vampire franchise, told the New York Daily News that he was "happy" remaining unattached.
"I am quite single. I'm happy being single. I'm very busy," he explained.
"I'm a relationship guy, but I recently broke up with someone who I was really in love with. And if that didn't work, how could anything else right now?"
Lutz and McCord were first linked earlier this year, following reports that they had been seen kissing in a nightclub, however both stars later insisted that they were just friends.
