Boreanaz's wife expecting second child

Bones star David Boreanaz has accidentally revealed that his wife is expecting their second child.

The actor, who is already a father to six-year-old Jaden, made the announcement during an appearance on Live With Regis And Kelly this morning.

Explaining how he was teaching his son about the "birds and the bees", he mistakenly admitted to asking the child: "You are aware that mummy and daddy are having a new baby?"

His slip-up prompted host Kelly Ripa to ask, "Did you just say you're having a new baby?" forcing Boreanaz to reply: "I said that? Oh, I did! Yes, I'm having a new baby."

The 39-year-old, who shot to stardom in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel, married former Playboy model Jaime Bergman in November 2001.
