Former Hustle star Jaime Murray has denied that nepotism was a factor in her early career.
The actress, whose father is ex-EastEnders and The Bill star Billy Murray, said she has had to work hard to win TV roles.
She told Metro: "I wish my dad could help me like that, it would make my life so much easier. Maybe at the beginning of my career I thought the business would work like that but it doesn’t.
"You can even be friends with producers and directors but you still won’t get the parts. We’ve all heard about the casting couch and people sleeping their way to the top, but I just don’t understand how it works."
Murray had a recurring role in the second series of US drama Dexter.
