'Emmerdale' stars hold zombie festival

Emmerdale stars Dominic Brunt and Mark Charnock are organising a Zombie Film Festival.

The actors, who play Paddy and Marlon in the ITV1 soap, have teamed up to hold the first event of its kind in Leeds.

It will showcase past zombie classics and more recent additions to the genre which may have passed movie-goers by.

All money raised will go to the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

Brunt and Charnock are huge fans of the genre and will be on hand to give a short introduction to each film.

Charnock said: "Dom and I are zombie obsessives. In fact most of our spare time is spent mulling over the conundrum of surviving a zombie holocaust. We thought that organising this festival may be a better use of our time."

The event runs from noon until midnight at City Varieties, Leeds, on April 20.
