Emmerdale star rules out reality TV

Emmerdale star Alex Carter has ruled out the possibility of starring in a reality TV show.

The actor, who plays Jamie Hope in the Yorkshire-based soap, said he has no plans to show off his dance moves in a celebrity contest.

Teletext quotes him as saying: "I wouldn't do Dancing On Ice or Strictly Come Dancing - I'd rather put my limbs through a blender."

However, he admitted that he could be persuaded if his career takes a downturn, saying: "Well if I was out of work, I'd probably jump at the opportunity!"

The 25-year-old recently confessed that he once supped a pint while filming an Emmerdale scene at 9.30am.
