Whittle wants privacy for Lomas, Marsh

Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle has claimed that the media should respect the privacy of Jamie Lomas and Kym Marsh.

Lomas, who plays bad boy Warren Fox on the Channel 4 soap, announced that he is dating Marsh, better known as Corrie's Michelle Connor, at the Inside Soap Awards 2008 launch last month.

There have since been newspaper reports that Lomas's ex-lover Hayley Lever is "devastated" by the news and planning to win back her man.

Jamie's co-star Whittle, who plays Calvin Valentine, has now called for the media to give the pair breathing space.

"I've only met Kym a couple of times and she's a lovely girl," Whittle told Now Online. "Fingers crossed, the press will leave them both - give them space and let them get to know each other properly.

"Watch this space. They like each other and hopefully things can go further."

The romance follows Marsh's split from husband Jack Ryder in March this year.
