Whittle: 'My body isn't good enough'

Ricky Whittle has admitted that he is unhappy with his physique.

The actor has regularly stripped off for scenes in Hollyoaks and for the teen soap's annual 'Hunks' calendar.

However, speaking to Heatworld, Whittle revealed: "I don't like my body! They say you're your own worst critic and that's true. I see my own faults.

"I think Ryan Reynolds has a great body and would love mine to look like his. I think mine isn't good enough, I need to work on my chest, stomach… I don't want to be massive, just athletic."

The 28-year-old also expressed disappointment over taking five hours and 41 minutes to complete this year's London Marathon.

He said: "I wasn't happy with that - basically what happened was I had to go to the toilet after 16 miles and queued for 20 minutes, by which time my legs had seized up. So after that, I was in agony for the remaining ten miles. I did finish it, though."

Whittle filmed his final Hollyoaks scenes last month.
