The 39-year-old, who has been romantically linked to his teenaged Dancing partner Jade Hatcher, has reportedly signed a deal with Sony Music and will head to Nashville at the end of the month.
However, while Brand will spend nine months of the year in the US, he insisted that he's not forgetting Australia completely, saying: "I'll still be touring in Australia, I'm definitely not deserting Australia. I've had a very rewarding career here."
On Sunday, Brand beat bookies' favourite Kylie Gillies and Today Tonight host Matthew White to take the Australian Dancing with the Stars title for 2009.
