'DWTS' couple announce engagement

Adam Brand and Jade Hatcher have announced their engagement after seven months together.

The 40-year-old Aussie musician, who met 20-year-old dancer Hatcher when they were paired up on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars last year, said that they are very excited about getting married.

Brand told New Idea magazine of the proposal: "Every day we go down to the park and lie there and talk. She didn't see it coming, because we were just doing our everyday little thing.

"We were lying there facing each other and I said, 'I love you darling, will you marry me? Then I got the ring out [and] she said yes'. I put it on her finger and we lay there cuddling.

"They say there's only one person for you in the whole world and out of five billion people she's my one."

Country singer Brand has been married twice before.
