Josh Horner's 'A Chorus Line' debuts in Melbourne

The Australian stage version of A Chorus Line has arrived in Melbourne.
The musical, which stars Dancing with the Stars Australia judge Josh Horner in the lead role of Zach, last came to the country in 1993 and has a long waiting list for seats for opening night at Her Majesty's Theatre on Saturday (February 4).
Leading cast member Renee Armstrong told the Herald Sun: "I never thought I'd get to audition for such an iconic show, let alone be cast in a leading role.
"It's such an honour. You grow up watching movie musicals, especially ones like A Chorus Line.''
Armstrong and castmate Ashley McKenzie both said that they were enjoying working alongside Horner, with McKenzie revealing: "He was the one who walked into rehearsals on the first day like a kid at Christmas. All of us were trying to keep it cool and he was so excited.''
When Horner was offered the role in the show, he said that his "inner dancer" was "screaming" to do it, adding: "When in your life do you get to jump into A Chorus Line and be part of something that cool and special?
"I think I'm going to grow so much from this experience. A Chorus Line is every dancer's dream, I believe. It's the quintessential Broadway musical. It's like a rite of passage. I'm totally immersed in this business and A Chorus Line is all about our business."
The Australian stage version of A Chorus Line debuted in Adelaide and will run in Melbourne until March 3.
