The 35-year-old former forklift truck driver, who shot to fame after winning the Australian version of The X Factor last year, described 19-year-old Nikki Kingston as his "dream" woman.
Childs, who met Kingston on social networking site Facebook four months ago, said on Today Tonight: "I want to marry her, she's my dream come true."
The singer also revealed that he has developed a close relationship with Elle Biddles, a 15-year-old fan. Biddles's mother Natalie Keeling has since become the executor of Childs's will.
Keeling said: "[Altiyan is] part of our whole family. Enough people I know that matter to me know that [rumours of inappropriate behaviour between him and Elle are] not true. The people that choose to believe it are very sick.
"I trust him, he's like my brother. I trust him with my children, I trust him with my life. It's not just his relationship with Elle. She's the reason we met him, but he comes over, he spends time with all of us."
Until recently, Childs lived in Ramsgate with Kingston and former manager Steve Gold but moved out two weeks ago over an alleged dispute with Gold over money. The house was later raided by police and Gold was arrested and charged with possession of drugs and illegal weapons.
Childs has not been seen since the incident, but his former X Factor mentor Ronan Keating said that he is concerned that the musician could become a "train wreck".
