The Australian singer, who won The X Factor in 2010, has parted ways with John Martinovich just months after falling out with his previous manager Steve Gold.
Martinovich told the Herald Sun: "I need some time to figure stuff out. I'm not in a position to say anything or make a comment just yet."
Early last year, Childs's home was ransacked by police after drugs and weapons were found during a raid. Ex-manager Gold was arrested at the time and charged with various offences. Childs's former X Factor mentor Ronan Keating later described him as a "train wreck".
The musician then admitted that he was broke and engaged to a teenage fan who he met on Facebook. He was also attacked by a group of "haters" after a live performance in February.
Childs tried to make his musical comeback in September with 'Ordinary Man', a song written by Ryan Tedder, the man behind Leona Lewis's 'Bleeding Love' and Jordin Sparks's 'Battlefield'.
