The Daily Mail speculated that the duo may be romancing after taking part in new ITV1 reality series 71 Degrees North together. The duo were spotted with linked arms leaving the Hix restaurant in London earlier this week before attending a karaoke party with friends.
Mone is married to the director of her company Michael and has three children, Declan, 13, Rebecca, 17, and Bethany, 10. EastEnders star Richie has two children with his wife Christie Goddard, who he wed in 2007.
Commenting on the claim, Richie's spokesperson said: "Shane Richie and Michelle Mone are simply friends. Wednesday night was the first get-together of the celebrities since returning from filming.
"Shane is tactile generally as, of course, is not unusual within the entertainment industry. We are dealing here with artistes and not accountants."
71 Degrees North will air later this year.
