Church: '71 Degrees North changed Gavin'

Charlotte Church has claimed that Gavin Henson changed when he filmed 71 Degrees North.

The couple confirmed that they had split in May, just weeks after they announced their engagement.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Church blamed Henson's involvement in the ITV reality show for giving him the time to "sit back and reflect".

"I'd have loved to keep our family together for always," she said. "But we both kind of knew it was inevitable and, rather than giving it another try, decided it was best to part when the kids were young."

However, Church added that her relationship with the Strictly Come Dancing contestant is "actually better now" than it had been.

"We can talk properly," she said. "Whereas before everything was fraught with tension."
