'Neighbours' star thrilled by new romance

Neighbours star Kym Valentine has revealed that she is feeling "loved up" in her new romance with ex-castmate Jonathon Dutton.

Last month, it emerged that the 32-year-old had started dating Dutton, who played Tad Reeves on the Australian soap between 1998 and 2002.

Valentine, best known for her role as Ramsay Street's Libby Kennedy, went public with the relationship at a recent David Gray concert in South Melbourne.

She has now told the Herald Sun: "I'm not ready to talk about it yet. But to say I was loved up would be appropriate."

The actress added that she is glad to be enjoying happier times after splitting from husband Fabio Tolli in 2007 and falling ill last year.

She said: "I am so grateful not to have high drama and illness in my life anymore. The past two years have made me appreciate what I've got. Honestly I don't know how I got through it. I just kept thinking 'one day it will pass' and eventually it did."

Valentine went on to say that she is currently the "happiest and healthiest" she has ever been.
