The 21-year-old Australian actress, who is also known for her role in Tomorrow When the War Began, said that she was walking with her sister in the suburb of Mentone on Friday when they were jumped by a group of girls.
Stasey took to her Twitter page to express her disbelief that no passers-by helped them, saying: "With my sister, in broad daylight, three girls surrounded us, attacked us and no-one did a thing. Congratulations society, you astound me."
She later wrote: "We are fine, just completely terrifying and unjust. To anyone who is the victim of violent or verbal bullying, I sympathise whole-heartedly.
"There are not harsh enough penalties for teenagers responsible for violence. Where do you think violent adults come from? Teach them young that it is entirely unacceptable and that it will not be tolerated. You get away with anything nowadays.
"I hope any of you who have had to suffer through bullying know that you're not alone and it's not okay."
Stasey is currently visiting her home city of Melbourne to film I, Frankenstein.
