Dannii Minogue 'sending Cole love over X Factor axe'

Dannii Minogue and singer Beverley Knight have commented on Cheryl Cole's reported axe from The X Factor USA.

The 'Promise This' singer was allegedly fired from the Fox competition's judging panel earlier this week after just four rounds of auditions.

As the news spread, Cole's former X Factor UK colleague Minogue headed to Twitter to blast the Girls Aloud star's untimely exit.

Referencing her own recently-announced departure from the ITV programme, Minogue wrote: "Judging roles should come with a life jacket, drop down oxygen and a life raft! Sending #Channii love."

Meanwhile, Knight was slightly less sympathetic to the 27-year-old's situation, arguing on the social networking site that Cole should have never been awarded the job.

She wrote: "The girl can't cut it. Simple, and luckily for her she's been sacked b4 she embarrassed herself on US tv. Poor sod! Xxxx (sic)."

Cole is said to still be "in talks" with Simon Cowell about her future on The X Factor USA.
