The former beauty queen was photographed holding hands with Defoe, who plays for England and Tottenham Hotspur, as they left Nobu Berkley in Mayfair last night.
Thomas, 26, was reported to "look in good health" after recovering from a recent bout of swine flu.
She is not the first Big Brother contestant to be spotted with Defoe. The striker has previously romanced both Chantelle Houghton and Danielle Lloyd, and was recently linked to current housemate Sophie Reade.
Thomas, who appeared in the seventh season of the show, is rumoured to have dated a string of footballers, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Dwight Yorke and Manchester United left-back Danny Simpson.
